Member only Content Aggregator (toggle on News?)

I know the use of content categories can be a 'work around' for displaying certain 'news items' only to members (at the expense of the 'news teasers' on the home page, as content categories don't affect them). But even with the content category in place, the link to the news item's 'page' is shareable to non-members. It would be extremely desirable to have a content aggregator that could be used for member-only content such as webinars and members only news etc.
Perhaps adding a 'members only' toggle to the news aggregator could solve this as that aggregator already exists??
