Members Directory & Member Profiles

We would love the ability to change settings on members directory to make them 'public' (e.g. SEO optimised / indexible by search engines)
We want to promote our members to the world and improve our own website SEO so this is an essential feature.
My thoughts are:
-Click to view individual member profiles in a new page (each member profile has a 'tidy' url containing their company name)
-Search / filter page to display all members (with pagination) so the list of all members is indexed by search engines.
We actually assumed this was standard functionality so very disappointed to see its not possible. There are massive SEO impacts by not leveraging this information for SEO.
