Profile Directory limited to only certain membership types
It would be really helpful to limit the "directory opt in" to only certain membership types. We run a certification scheme for a workforce, but also offer other membership types. The certified members need to be listed on a public register, but the other member types do not.
There is no way to restrict access to the directory to certain membership types. This is the because when the individual logs into their profile and selects View/Edit profile they can opt in the register, which then overrides any settings we had set-up for that membership type. This is very inconvenient and we need to be able to stop this.

Membes allows you to create multiple directories, you could create one directory for certified members and separate directory for other members.
Switching off the directory self opt-in and only allowing administrators to add profiles to the certified directory will allow you to control who is added to the directory. Adding a profile to the certified directory could be included as part of the process of checking/confirming their certification.

Megan OgierWe only wish to have our corporate members opt in on the directory, not all their staff. It would be really helpful to be able to restrict this option just to that member category
